Press Release Summary: 1,400 French and International exhibitors… 400,000 visitors
looking for ideas and inspiration… a 17-hectare park next to the beaches: the
Marseille International Fair offers a panorama of cultures, crafts, trends,
innovations, and the arts de vivre from the French regions but also from the whole
world. In September, get ready for hundreds of discoveries, encounters and
animations!

Press Release Body: The Marseille International Fair supports Marseille’s
candidature to the title of European Capital of Culture in 2013 and will be the
rallying point for many artists eager to present their work to visitors. Painters,
dancers, writers, photographers…: this is the perfect opportunity to discover the
cultural life of the Phocaean city. As a foretaste, do not miss Richard Campana’s
customised scooters for a colourful ride on the Canebičre and the large-scale
exhibition featuring professional regional graffiti artists performing live during
the eleven days of the Fair. Their graphic skills enable them to paint on walls but
also on canvas. After the Fair, an auction will propose their works.
The 84th edition of the Marseille International Fair will also host BMX, roller and
skateboard competitions featuring the best French and European riders. And if you
are one of the more intrepid visitors, why not join an initiation session or even
enter the competition? An exciting, festive and acrobatic program that will
culminate on the late night opening on Friday October 3rd with dozens of musical
scenes, concerts, parades, dances, performances…

The Marseille International Fair offers many other surprises to its visitors,
starting with the treasures from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Italy, Armenia, Israel
but also from Cuba, French Guyana and the Marquise Islands which will join the
French Polynesia for a showcase of their fascinating crafts and traditional clothes
and dishes. An explosion of colours, savours and scents.

At the Marseille International Fair, well-being is everywhere in multiple forms.
For the fashion and body care lovers, some local designers, from the Mediterranean
Fashion Institute, will present their latest pręt-ŕ-porter and accessories
collections and a real beauty institute will take special care of visitors with a
relaxing massage or an exfoliating scrub.

From the living-room and kitchen to the terrace and swimming pool, the Fair is the
most complete scene for everything concerning the house and the art of well-being at
home with hundreds of shopping ideas! This year, make a point of visiting the
Eco-Energy space, launched last year, which is back, enriched by new exhibitors, new
products and new solutions to encourage the use of renewable energies in homes. Both
the public and the professionals can find invaluable ideas to reduce their energy
consumption while respecting the environment.

With a great choice of festive, cultural, sportive or relaxing animations and thanks
to its talented exhibitors, artists and craftsmen covering the whole range of the
arts de vivre, the Marseille International Fair is certainly the not-to-be-missed
event of September!
